Current position<\/em>:<\/strong><\/span> Lecturer in department of Public Health at Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University (UMH), CIBERESP and ISABIAL.<\/p>\n

Education<\/em>:<\/span><\/strong> BSc Psychology (University of Seville, 1984); MSc Public Health (UMH, 1998); PhD in Public Health (UMH, 2004).<\/p>\n

Brief CV:<\/em><\/span><\/strong> I started in 1990 as a research fellow and I started working in the area of Public Health. Since 2000 I have taught Public Health to Medicinal, Occupational Therapy and postgraduate students. In 2004 I joined in the Group of Nutritional Epidemiology (EPINUT-UMH). I participated in various studies with EPINUT-UMH such as: the INMA study<\/strong>, the EUREYE Study<\/strong> and the DISA-UMH Study<\/strong> (Anthropometry, diet and health in University students) in which I am focusing on the evaluation of diet and other healthy lifestyles. I am responsible for the nutrition and health survey of the Students of the UMH (2017).
\nI have been a principal investigator (PI) in national and regional studies. I participate in international consortiums such as the Global Burden of Disease initiative<\/em> for the study of obesity, hypertension, diabetes and other health problems worldwide.<\/p>\n

I participate in Group 6 of Epidemiology and Public Health CIBER.
\nI have two five-year teaching periods, three six-year research periods, and more than 60 articles in journals indexed in the JCR ISI-Thompson with an H index of 18 according to SCOPUS(November,2017): https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed?term=Garcia+de+la+Hera+M+or+de+la+Hera+MG+or+Hera+M+or+Garcia-de-la-Hera&cmd=DetailsSearch<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
