Current position: Postdoctoral Research Associate at Epidemiology and Public Health CIBER.
Education: BSc Human Nutrition and Dietetics (2010); MSc Genetic, Nutritional and Environmental Conditioning Factors of Growth and Development (2011); MSc Public Health (2014) and PhD in Public Health (2017).
Brief CV: I started in the Group of Nutritional Epidemiology (EPINUT-UMH) after finishing my first MSc in 2011. I collected data in the 7-year-interview stage of the prospective cohort study INfancia and Environment (INMA Study) for two years. At the same time, I started my second MSc and the PhD in Public Health. After the INMA study, I carried out a validation of a dietary questionnaire and management of of food and nutrient databases. In 2015, EPINUT-UMH began as a recruiting node of the intervention study PREDIMED-PLUS, on which I have been working until the present. In July 2017 I defended my doctoral thesis which is focused on the study of the association between sweetened beverages and obesity in children aged 4-5 years in the INMA study. I have done a predoctoral stay at the Institute of Public Health at of Porto University (1 month). In addition, I have done the following international courses: Nutritional Epidemiology in Potsdam (Berlin, 2014) and European Educational Program in Epidemiology (Florence, 2016). To conclude, I am part of the board of the “Grupo Español de Jóvenes Epidemiólogos” (EJE Group).
