Bibliodieta is a platform or virtual library of free access in which are presented Food Frequency Questionnaires (FFQ) that have been used in studies with different Spanish populations. The main objective of Bibliodieta is to facilitate research to groups interested in exploring diet-disease relationships, as well as other groups or institutions interested in evaluating the diet and nutritional status at the population level. Its specific objectives are:
- Dissemination of the appropriate questionnaires to each situation
- Training of field researchers for the use of questionnaires
- Analysis of the information generated by the Food Frequency Questionnaires (FFQ).
- Evaluation of other exhibitions of interest such as physical activity, contaminants, etc.
- Collaboration in research or studies.
Catalog of questionnaires
The CFAs presented are based on the one created by Professor W. Willett of Harvard University for the Health Study of American Nurses (Willett et al., 1985). The different versions of FFQ presented are adaptations and updates of the initial version of the FFQ of 93 items (Vioque 1991; 2006) that was made in the early nineties and later validated for use in the Spanish adult population (Valenciana). Due to the natural evolution of the foods available in the market and the experience of the studies carried out, some FFQs are no longer in use and the FFQs have been adapted to the circumstances and the type of population studied, therefore it is recommended that Before making use of them, contact the group to offer suitable advice.
